Hi . we have been using cloth nappies since our baby boy was born .we compost the poo and give that to the worms and everything was fine but we do find they now leak quite a lot.He is 19mth old and we have to double up the insert at night but in the day, hes leaking a bit,Im afraid, its a difficult one isnt it, trying to save the planet?See More

Pesticides in Kids Linked to ADHD

Researcher advises parents to buy organic, wash produce
By JoNel Aleccia, health writer, msnbc.com, May 17, 2010 Exposure to pesticides used on common kid-friendly foods — including frozen blueberries, fresh strawberries and celery — appears to boost the chances that children will be diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD, new research shows. Youngsters with high levels of pesticide residue in their urine, particularly from widely used types of insecticide such as malathion, were more likely to have ADHD, the behaviors... Over 1 million high chairs recalled - 24 reports of injuries from Graco products

As reported on MSNBC, 3/18/10 - The government on Thursday announced a recall of some 1.2 million high chairs, saying they posed a fall hazard to children. The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the voluntary recall of the high chairs made by Graco Children's Products, Inc., of Atlanta, Ga. "Screws holding the front legs of the high chair can loosen and fall out," the regulatory agency said, adding that cracking plastic brackets could also cause the chair to "tip over unexpectedly."
